Sentelle Law is an immigration lawyer and family law attorney in Frederick MD. Amanda Sentelle, founder of Sentelle Law, is the Managing Attorney for the firm. She is committed to helping clients with their legal issues in Immigration and Family Law matters, while maintaining personalized service and results. She strives to be there for her clients in every aspect of their legal process.

Amanda founded her firm because she wanted to provide clients with the customized service and small firm setting that she longed for in her previous big firm job.  Amanda is committed to pro bono service and helping the community throughout Maryland.

Abbey

Abby is a Senior Legal Assistant at Sentelle Law, LLC. Abby assists attorneys in preparing, filing, and monitoring all types of complex immigration cases, including asylum, deportation, family/employment-based immigration petitions, consular processing of non- immigrant and immigrant visas, waivers of inadmissibility, and naturalization applications.

Abby was born to parents who migrated from Honduras, and she herself migrated too. She still has many family members living in Honduras. Abby is fluent in both English and Spanish; and utilizes these skills to communicate with the firm’s Spanish speaking clients on a daily basis.

Abby is currently continuing her studies at Frederick Community College. She hopes to get her degree and one day attend law school in the future. 

When Abby is not working she is usually at home with her son and her family. She loves to spend time with them and go out together. She loves her family so much and they are her biggest support system. Sentelle Law loves what Abby brings to the office with her Intelligence and quick wit….. There is never a dull moment!

Michelle

Michelle is a Legal Assistant at Sentelle Law, LLC. Michelle assists with preparing, filling, and monitoring all types of complex immigration cases, including asylum, deportation, family/employment-based immigration petitions, consular processing of non- immigrant and immigrant visas, waivers of inadmissibility, and naturalization applications.

Michelle was born to parents who immigrated to the United States from Costa Rica and Guatemala. She still has many relatives living in both countries, as well as family members who have navigated the immigration process themselves. 

Michelle received her associates degree at Frederick Community College in Criminal Justice. Her passion for immigration law only grew after joining Sentelle Law, where she finds the greatest reward in seeing the smiles on clients’ faces when they have successful outcomes. Michelle is excited to continue her studies in the legal field and aspires to become an immigration attorney, with the goal of helping others in the same way Sentelle Law has!

When Michelle is not working or studying, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She holds them very close to her heart and is one of the many reasons why she loves what she does. You can also find Michelle at the soccer field, the gym, or at different church activities. She loves to stay active and is constantly running out of the office to get a workout in. 

Phillips

Phillips is a Receptionist/Legal Assistant at Sentelle Law, LLC. Phillips is usually the voice you hear when you first contact us via phone. His bright personality and excellent customer service skills help him assist all our clients in their contact with the firm. Phillips also assists with preparing, filling, and monitoring all types of complex immigration cases, including asylum, deportation, family/employment-based immigration petitions, consular processing of non- immigrant and immigrant visas, waivers of inadmissibility, and naturalization applications. Phillips is fluent in both English and Spanish; and utilizes these skills to communicate with the firm’s Spanish speaking clients on a daily basis. He maintains detailed logs of all our client conversations, and they often reach out to Phillips for updates and information on their cases because they trust him.

Phillips was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States in 2020, with many of his friends and family still in Puerto Rico. Phillips graduated from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2018 and came to work with Sentelle law in the hope of helping people get their legal status in the United States. He brings a different perspective as the only male in the office which is one of the many reasons why he’s a critical asset to the team.

When Phillips is not at work, he loves to be home with his wife and child as much as he can. Spending time with his family is one of the most important things to him. If he isn’t at home, he is at church serving or playing softball with his friends. For Phillips, balancing his professional, family, and social life is key, and he loves staying engaged with both his loved ones and his passions.
